RULES

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of or compliance with these rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such alternation of specifications. Any interpretation of the rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

1. Alcohol beverages, drugs, explosives, or fire arms are not allowed on premises at Tennessee National Raceway. Any person exhibiting intoxication shall be escorted from the track & will be subject to penalty, barring, fined or jailed. 2. All drivers, mechanics, car owners & anyone else will sign insurance release and purchase a pit pass before entering pits. Parents must sign a waiver for anyone under the age of 18. 3. Any persons who enters the pit area, agrees to abide by the rules & regulations of Tennessee National Raceway. 4. Anyone failing to abide to the track rules, unsportsmanlike conduct, or holding up the race event for any reason will cause the car he is involved with to be penalized, barred, or disqualified. 5. No driver, car owner, or crew member shall have any claims for damages, expenses, or otherwise against the track or officials. 6. All drivers under the age of 18 must have a minors release signed by legal guardian. You can do this at registration. 7. No one on the track unless instructed by the track official to do so. You will cause your car to be disqualified. 8. Any one that touches a car under caution unless instructed to do so by the pit steward will be put to the rear. No car shall pull up to the apron for tires & such to be checked or body repair without being instructed to do so by track officials. 9. No rear view mirrors in cars. 10. A car cannot leave grounds until 20 minutes after its feature race. 11. No 2-way radios will be allowed. (No transmitting or listening devices in a car). Transceivers may be used by track. No sticks or signaling lights allowed. No cell phones allowed inside race cars while on track. 12. In the case of inclement weather, if half the show has been completed, it’s the track decision on whether the race will be finished the following week along with full show or called a night’s race. Points & money will be awarded to the classes that have run. 13. In the event of a rain out we do not issue refunds. We will issue rain checks that will be valid for use at one event during the season the rain check was issued. Rain checks will not be valid for special events unless issued on such! 14. Visual inspection of car and safety gear has to be done 15 minutes before first event of the night. 15. If a car is found to be illegal, or disqualified the driver will not receive any points or money for that night. 16. All cars must have a hook for lifting purposes; front & rear. 17. All cars must be numbered on each side & roof. 18. Cars that run must have a fire extinguisher, wrecker hooks, fire suits, helmet, head and neck restraint system, proper battery installation or will be disqualified. 19. No person is allowed in tower at any time, except scorers. Do not go to tower with problems; go to the pit steward after all races are completed. 20. Any person driving in more than ONE class must purchase an extra arm band. This is the driver’s responsibility to do. NOT purchasing one will lead to disqualification of race. 21. All cars must pack track when needed. (Only when needed). 22. All lead weights must be painted the color white & have drivers name or initial engraved in the lead. Drive shafts will be painted white. 23. Purse winnings must be claimed 30 minutes after last race has completed tech inspection. Any prize money not picked up at the end of race night will be forfeited! DRIVER ONLY CAN PICK UP PRIZE MONEY. NO EXCEPTIONS! 24. In the case of a DNS (do not start) you will not receive any prize money. ANY SITUATION NOT SPECIFICALLY COVERED BY THESE RULES WILL BE ACTED UPON BY TENNESSEE NATIONAL RACEWAY OFFICIALS AND THEIR DECISION WILL BE FINAL. GENERAL RACE PROCEDURES 1. All races will start when the pole sitter fires coming out of turn four. If anyone jumps the start 1st time he will be rolled back to the rear of the field those behind him will move up. No criss-crossing. Two tries and then we will go to a single file start. Each car must hold its position until the pole sitter fires. The completion of the first lap will be when half the cars cross the start/finish line. On start of race if either inside or outside poll cars spin on their own and causes a caution flag to be thrown then that car rolls back to the rear of pack. Any car on start of race or during race that causes a caution will go to the rear of field. If the track officials cannot make a definite decision on which car was at fault in a 2 or more wreck then all cars go back to where they were scored on previous lap and will be penalized one caution. Any car with 2 cautions will be sent to the pits. 2. Anyone leaving the track surface will go to the rear. No exceptions. 3. Restarts will be the same as starts firing out of turn 4 at the LEADER’S pace with leader out front and double rows behind unless under 5 to go. 4. No passing until after passing the flag stand. 4. Any car that does not maintain starting formation will go to rear. 5. Any car that draws two (2) cautions in any race for any reason will have to take it to the pits. 6. Anyone stopping to argue with officials will be blacked flagged and sent to the pits. 7. Maximum car field is 24 unless approved by track official. 8. No one from pits on track surface at any time unless instructed to do so by the pit steward. (Red flag or caution) 9. No car repairs of any kind on the track. Do not pull up to apron without being instructed to do so by track officials. Go to infield for repairs. 10. All lapped cars will go to the rear on all restarts. 11. Move over flag means to hold a straight line as to where you are and do not try to run with the leaders that are lapping you. Holding your line means not up or down the track just simply a straight controlled line. If you hold up the lead pack you will be charged with a caution and scored a lap down. Make it easy on yourself and hold a straight line. 12. The completion of a lap is when everyone crosses the start/finish line. Should a caution occur everyone will go back to the last green lap. 13. A black flag will be given if there appears to be a problem with your car. If you get the flag, go to the pits. 14. If you are disqualified for any reason you will get no money or points for that night. 15. If you spin another car you will be charged with a caution and will go to the rear. Two unassisted cautions and you are disqualified for that race. 16. Drivers will line up cars immediately upon request. If not you will lose your starting position. On qualifying you will start in the rear. 17. No laps will be scored that are run in the infield. You will not be scored if you cross inside the poles. 18. When the leader takes the white flag, there will be no yellow flag. You will race back to the checkered flag. If you spin a car or take out the leader on the last lap you will be scored last on the lead lap, and the car that did spin will be scored where he was running. If there is danger to a driver, or track is completely blocked it will be red flagged. It will be track officials decision to restart the race or score the race on the last completed lap. Track officials decisions are final 19. If a car has his nose up to driver’s door, then he has the right to his lane. 20. Heat races will be determined by drawing numbers at the registration window. Cut off will be 15 minutes before the start of hot laps. 21. No nitrous oxide in any class. 22. All cars are subject to weight check or inspection at any time by track officials. 23. Fast time-chooses inside or outside poll. (Cars that time trial) 24. Drivers cannot change cars during any race once started. 25. Anyone not in line up area when cars take the track will drop to the rear of the field. This is for heat races and features. Multiple race drivers will be given time if their races are back to back. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 1. Cars entering, exiting and traveling through the pit must travel at a slow speed. Violators will be subject to disqualification, fine, or barred. This means everyone in any type of vehicle. 2. All cars must be equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher and gauge in good working order and installed within easy reach of driver. No duct taping, plastic wiring, or straps will be allowed. 3. Fire resistant body suits are required for all divisions. Gloves, racing shoes, and neck restraint are optional to the driver. Driver safety is driver and race team’s responsibility. 4. Window nets are optional. 5. Driver must be able to exit from both sides of the car. 6. Roll-over valves are required in all classes. 7. All cars must have padding on roll bars in driver’s area. 8. All doors must be welded or bolted shut. 9. All glass must be removed. 10. Racing type seat mandatory in all classes with seat frame fastened to roll cage and door bars. 11. A 5 point safety harness is mandatory. Safety belts must come from behind the driver at shoulder height. Must use minimum 3/8” grade 5 bolts for belt installation. 12. If the battery is in the drivers’ compartment, it must be in a approved marine battery box top & bottom, and be securely bolted down with 1” x 1/8” metal straps. 13. A drive shaft safety loop made of ¼”x1”flat bar or ¼” chain minimum will be installed near front of drive shaft. 14. Drive shafts must be painted white for visibility on track. 15. All flammable materials must be removed from interior of car. 16. Fuel cells are mandatory. Must be, secured, with a minimum of (4) 1” x 1/8” steel straps and 3/8” bolts, if mounted in trunk area with 2 straps each way. 17. Cars must have complete fire wall front and rear. 18. All holes in fire walls and floor pan must be covered with 20 gauge sheet metal or thicker. 19. If fuel line runs inside of car, it must be in metal conduit. 20. All weight added to car must be bolted or welded, and painted white. Drivers name must be engraved on lead. No exception. No sandbags, etc. allowed. 21. All cars must have a minimum of (3) 3/8” diameter bars in windshield area on front of driver. 22. Lexan is permitted in front of driver only. 23. No factory seatbelts are to be used as safety harness. 24. All cars are required to weigh after a feature race and MUST go to scales immediately. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify the car. If car requires assistance to scales, a track official must okay it before doing so. 25. Weighing: The 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place finishers in all classes: If you fail to weigh, you will be disqualified. If a car incurs weight loss during an event before it reaches the scales at the end of an event and does not weight enough, it is subject to automatic penalties or disqualification. Only exception will be body parts lost during the race that may be added. All ballast weight must be bolted or secured at all times. If car requires assistance to scales, a track official must be present. Driver must accompany car to scales. 26. All heat races will have a 10 minute time limit, and all features will have minute per lap time limit. (Exceptions may be made in the event of a red flag.) 27. Rough driving will not be permitted or tolerated. Anything not covered will be at track officials’ discretion. 28. Nerf bars are allowed, they must not protrude outward or have sharp edges. PROTEST RULES 1. Protest can be made by driver only 2. Protest to be within 5 minutes after checker flag with cash in hand. 3. Driver must have finished in top 5. 4. 1 car per protest. 5. No backwards protest allowed unless it’s a counter protest. 6. Funds must be in cash. 7. Driver must have raced at least 2 previous races at the track that year in order to protest. 8. 1 hour from protests to have transmission out. 1 hour 15 minutes from protests to have motor out. PROTEST REFUSAL First Offense: DQ! Lose all points and monies for that event & forfeit the right to protest for the rest of the point’s season. Second Offense: DQ! Lose all points and monies for that event plus lose all points accumulated for the season. PROTEST RULES

1. Protest can be made by driver only
2. Protest to be in writing (forms available at tech shed) signed by driver within 15 minutes after end of race.
3. Driver must have finished in top 4 and can only protest 1st place.
4. Backwards protest ALLOWED.
5. Funds must be in cash.
6. Driver must have raced at least 3 races at the track this year in order to protest.
7. Each driver can only protest one time in a 4 week period.

2024 Mini Stock Rules WEIGHT: • 2300 lbs minimum weight • Weight must be displayed on right side of car on post GENERAL: • Stock parts, stock position • Must be on lead lap and in the top 3 to protest suspension • A claim price of $100 per shock or strut, must buy either both shocks or both struts • Shock and strut must be in factory location • Wedge bolts are allowed • Top trailing arms may be drilled or cut for pinion angle • No “air” shocked allowed • Must have rubber bushings on top and bottom of rear shocks and struts • Rear axle may be locked, but no lightning of ring gear and pinion is permitted • Power steering allowed ENGINE: • Must match make of car and in factory location • GASOLINE 110 MAX • Hydraulic cams and lifters only unless cars were OEM solid (Toyotas) • Lower end stock only (Bore can be .060 over) • No lightning of crankshafts • Hypereutectic piston or stock replacement piston on 5.4 ford rods only • May run forged 3 ring piston on 5.2 stock ford rods • Rod, piston and pin no lighter than 2.6 lbs • Pressed in piston pins only, no floating pins allowed • No roller rocker arms allowed • May run aftermarket pulleys on cams and crank • Cranking compression 180 lbs maximum in all cylinders • No high-performance parts permitted • Windage trays or aftermarket pan is allowed HEADS: • Engine head strapping is legal and any valve spring, including beehive • Stock factory steel head only, no off-road heads. WEIGHT: • 3300 lbs • Crown Vic 3100 lbs BODY: • Full size cars with 108” wheel base or larger. No strut cars. • Full roll cage required, padding around driver permitted, doors to be welded or bolted shut. • All glass and plastic must be removed. Safety bars to be installed in front of the driver area for protection. • Remove all upholstery, body trim, mirrors anything flammable from vehicle. • Replacing a fiberglass bumper cover with a aftermarket nose or tail section is ok • Racing seat, 5 point harness, helmet with face shield are mandator. Neck restraint strongly recommended. • No hulling except for driver door. Dash can be removed. • Minimum cutting for tire clearance and any part of a roll cage permitted • No enclosed cockpits allowed interior must remain open. Sheet metal allowed to cover back seat. ENGINES: • Chevy 350, Ford 351 or 4.6, and Dodge 360. Max bore on the motor is 60 over. • No high compression or racing parts • No grinding on intakes or cams • No high-performance internal parts at all. If it’s not a stock part not allowed. • Engine must have a max of 160 lbs of compression at all times • Factory steel heads only no 300 horse heads allowed. Open chamber heads only. • Carburetor no bigger than in a 600. Stock out the box. • Any style air breather and valve cover are allowed. • Stock exhaust manifold or header allowed but must come in 4 into 1 pipe at least 12 inches long each side. • No high rise manifolds or aluminum intake. Stock intakes only. • No screw in studs or guideplate • Must run stock oil pan • Stock hydraulic cam and lifters • Aluminum radiators are allowed SUSPENSION: • All suspension components remain stock. No racing shocks. Change right front string only. • Automatic transmissions only must have a working torque converter. Must work in drive and reverse in tech. • Stock rear ends allowed. Locked 9” ford allowed but must use factory mounts for that car. TIRES: • Any 8 inch steel wheels. Bead-locks are allowed on the right side only. • Hoosier H500, American racer AR 500 extra hard • Grooving & Siping allowed GENERAL: • Fuel cells are mandatory • Aftermarket steering columns allowed for safety • Track can penalize any car not meeting any rule with a weight penalty • If it’s not stock and not outlined here in the rules it’s not allowed. Stock means straight out of the box from the factory with no racing mods done at all. If you think it may be in question just ask prior to race, techman has final say of what’s legal and not.

SAFETY: • Any car deemed unsafe or unfit for competition may not participate. Minor Infractions will be issued a One (1) time “Fix it Notice” • All LEAD must be securely fastened with ½” Grade 8 bolts and/or weight clamps. Duct tape and Zip Ties are not acceptable. Muffler clamps are not acceptable. • LEAD must be painted white with car # • Must have a working fire extinguisher in the car, unless running a fire suppression system. • Must have SFI approved 5 point harness that is in date. (3 years old maximum) • Must have a working raceceiver • Racing seats required, must fit driver, be SFI approved, and must be bolted to roll cage. • No aluminum or titanium cages or tubing permitted. All tubing must be a minimum of 1 ½ inches and a minimum of .095 wall thickness. Three bars in driver’s side mandatory, two bars in right side mandatory. Must have a minimum of 1 inch bar, .083 wall thickness in halo section running either front to rear or diagonal across. Must have a rock guard with a maximum of 4 inches between bars. WEIGHT: • Claimed weight must be posted clearly on both sides of A-Pillar or Hood • 3200 lbs minimum. (Tech official can add weight for any rule not being met) SUSPENSION: • Shocks & Springs must be in stock location. Shock extensions ok. FUEL: • Racing fuel or pump gas only • Fuel is subject to laboratory testing and fuel may not contain any additives • SFI certified fuel cell with roll-over valve mandatory TIRE RULE: • Hoosier H500 Only • Grooving and Siping permitted • No Drilling • Subject to chemical lab testing, required to conform to benchmark at all times TRANSMISSION: • No direct drive transmissions (All working gears forward & reverse. NO stroker/hybrids (No 383 ci Chevy’s, No 347 Fords, etc.) All engine casting numbers stamped on the engine must be unaltered. • Cam Chain driven • PENALTY FOR IMPROPER ENGINE SETBACK SHALL BE ASSESSED AS FOLLOWS: 25LB LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE OF RADIATOR TOTALING 50LBS MOUNTED IN FRONT OF THE WATERPUMP. WILL BE REMOVED AND WEIGHED POST RACE. LIFTERS: • Solid or hydraulic. No rollers or mushrooms. No ceramic. • PISTONS: Dished or Flat. No Domes. • RODS: OEM length. Example: SBC must be 5.7” I-Beam Rods No 6” rods. No H-Beam rods. HEADS: • OEM iron heads. Vortec heads okay, Vortec copy okay. Not to exceed 173 intake runner volume. No porting or polishing. OEM style stamped steel rockers. No roller rockers. No roller tipped rockers. Screw in studs and guide plates OKAY. VALVES: • Maximum of 2 valves per cylinder. Max intake in 2.02. Max exhaust is 1.600 CARBURETOR CLAIM: • Any car owner of a car in FEATURE RACE may claim the carburetor of any car finishing ahead of the claimer’s car, in the FEATURE RACE for $300 and swap of claimers carburetor. Only 1 claim per year. BODY: • Body must be stock appearing within reason including firewall and floor pan. • No spoilers • No decking in center section where the passenger seat would be • Brake bias allowed • Hood may be cut out for breather and must have engine size displayed • Trunk lid required and must open • Any aftermarket nose for make and model of car • Rear bumper any ok for make and model • Wheelbase must be 108”
WEIGHT: • Minimum weight of 1900 lbs after the race SUSPENSION: • No altering of suspension or frame in any way • Stock shocks in stock position • No adjustable or aluminum shocks, no coil overs • May change camber • Minimum wheelbase of 96” ENGINE: • Engine must be stock, and match make of car, in stock location • 4-cylinder engines only, no V6 allowed • Fuel injection only, no carburetors allowed, no turbos allowed • Exhaust must run at least past the drivers doorpost • Headers are allowed • Stock ignition • Alternator must work and be in original position • Battery can be moved to the rear of the car, in secure box • Can run cold air intake • Tech manual required for your motor specs, if not available upon request for protest TRANSMISSION: • Stock automatic or stock standard transmission • Front wheel drive only • May weld differential BRAKES: • Must be stock. All 4 wheel brakes must work. No adjusters. WHEELS: • Steel or aluminum wheels are allowed • Maximum of 8” wide • May run racing wheels, bead locked allowed on right side only TIRES: • Maximum size P235 70R15 Highway DOT only. No racing tires allowed. No donut tires allowed. • All 4 tires must be the same size. BODY: • 2 or 4 doors allowed. Hatchback cars allowed. • All glass must be removed • Must remove back seat and cover opening with metal • Doors MUST be welded shut • Hulling of car is allowed • Must remove all interior of car • Dash removed • No cutting of exterior body panels • Must have a 4-point cage with 1 ½” diameter .094 steel tubing minimum • Can run a full roll cage, front to rear • Must have a minimum of 4 bars in driver’s door, 3 bars in passenger’s door • Steering wheel center must be padded SAFETY: • MUST have a working fire extinguisher mounted within reach of the driver • Full driver’s suit, helmet with shield, and race receiver are MANDATORY. Neck restraint strongly recommended. • Racing seat and belts will be no older than three (3) years from date of manufacturer ANYTHING THAT IS NOT COVERED IN THE RULES WILL BE CLARED LEGAL OR ILLEGAL BY THE TRACK OFFICIALS.
NO TRACTION CONTROL DEVICES OF ANY KIND! NO BLUETOOTH IGNITION SYSTEM'S Anyone caught will be suspended for the remainder of the year. A second offense will equal a lifetime ban. SEATS • High-back full containment seat should be securely mounted to frame as recommended by the manufacturer • Suitable FIA manufacturer-approved Full containment seats are permitted • Cars must have a full-containment racing seat utilizing the left and right halo protecting drivers side-to-side head and shoulder movement (25-pound weight penalty for cars competing without full containment seats) SAFETY APPAREL • Driver must wear Fire resistant uniform meeting SFI 3.2A/5 specs and display valid SFI 3.2/5 label. • Each Driver should wear Fire resistant accessories that effectively cover the remaining parts of the body • Shoes should meet the FSI 3.3 specifications and display a valid SFI 3.2/5 label. • Gloves and window net ONLY if tracks require. HELMETS • Driver must wear full-face helmet, with at least a valid SA 2010 or SA 20154 Standard Snell and/or valid SFI 31.1,31.2, or 31.1 2010 label at all times on the track when competing. • Driver should wear a helmet in accordance with the directions provided by the helmet manufacturer and/or supplier. • Head and Neck restraints are strongly recommended and should conform to manufacturer’s mounting instructions. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED ITEMS • A Marked electrical Kill Switch and a marked fuel shut off valve in reach of the driver • An easily accessible fire extinguisher of at least 2.5 gals FFF or Equivalent. ANY DRIVER WHO GETS OUT OF THEIR CAR ON THE RACING SURFACE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE EVENT AND WILL NOT BE AWARDED PRIZE MONEY OR SERIES POINTS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
